RVs are a way of life for millions of Americans. Traveling by motorhome is a great way to see the country at your own pace. You can carry more than extra clothes, toys and entertainment for kids. You are also creating experiences that won't soon be forgotten.

Used motorhomes do come with warranties that last as long as those for new motorhomes. While warranties may differ depending on the age and wear of the vehicle, RV dealers will offer coverage that can make you confident about the quality of used motorhome you're purchasing.

Used motorhomes come in all shapes and sizes. There are luxury vehicles with a fraction of the price tag of new motorhomes. If all you want is a motorhome that will safely and economically carry your family from one vacation to the next, there are models that have ample space for families of four to ten people and aren't going to break the bank. New motorhomes are new and therefore, people have a sense that they will be more reliable. However, used motorhomes are often used for retirement vacations and are in incredibly good shape.

When shopping for a new motorhome, you head to a dealer. With used motorhomes, there are a couple of options. You can check the classifieds and hope you find what you want or you can contact a consignment RV dealer, whose job is to find you what you want for the price you want.

Bonding happens with family and friends on RV trips whether you decide on a new or used vehicle. It's who you're with and the places you visit that most often make the memories. Whether your vehicle was purchased new or used won't change the times you all have together.

New and used motorhome loans are available for extended periods of time. If you're worried you won't be able to get the loan you need on a used vehicle, head to your local consignment RV dealer to find out what they can do for you. You'll be surprised.

New motorhomes aren't cheap. Even the lower end motorhomes can cost upwards of $40,000.00. Used motorhomes on the other hand are sold for all sorts of reasons, which means you could get a steal on something that you wouldn't be able to with a new RV.

New and used motorhomes both offer shelter, both travel across the country and are both incredible ways of bringing kids to the outdoors, exploring places you've always wanted to see and being a part of a lifestyle that has shaped American history.

Being called a third wheel isn't generally a compliment. It usually means you aren't wanted.

Being called a third wheel isn't generally a compliment. It usually means you aren't wanted. But when you own a fifth wheel, everyone will want to be around you and travel with you. Fifth wheels are one of the roomiest RVs on the market with plenty of space and privacy for all.

Fifth wheels offer space with elevated ceilings that reach higher than other models of RVs. Slide-outs, up to five of them, depending on the model, give even more space, about three feet for each slide-out. Top of the line models can be as custom as you like with uniquely designed cabinetry and furnishings.

Bring your closest eight family members or friends on a trip to a hidden paradise or down to Disney World. RVs make memories, while allowing you all the creature comforts of home. Up to 40 feet in length, RVs can be outfitted as a second home.

Models start at $20,000 while the most luxurious can cost over a million dollars. However, that money goes towards unique RV features like a master bedroom or living room that sits on top of the truck bed.

If some of the family likes exploring but others prefer to spend time at camp cooking and relaxing, the fifth wheel can be detached from the truck to suit everyone's needs. Take the truck out for an afternoon excursion while the night owls catch a nap.

Similar to hotel accommodations, fifth wheels have showers, living rooms, bedrooms. Entertainment is a no-brainier with state of the art equipment that brings in TV, internet, movies, audio and more. If you dream of it, you can probably take it in a fifth wheel.

Traditional fifth wheels needed a sturdy rig for carting them around, but newer lightweight models can be hitched to a half ton truck. Luxury isn't lost in the new models; they are just a little more aerodynamic.

A fifth wheel isn't for everyone, but it is for the exclusive, for those who like to live life at a certain level. Family and friends can pile in, or this resort can be a private nest for couples, turning a bedroom into an office. Time fades away in a fifth wheel as you travel at any speed you like, lingering in magical locations or speeding away from bad weather.

Travel Trailer Tires are what enable you to hit the road in your RV and explore every nook and cranny of the world around you. An RV without tires is essentially a house. You can look out the window, but you won't be going anywhere. It's so important to take care of your travel trailer tires so you can trek around the country with comfort and security.

When spring rolls around, so does the itch to get out on the road and explore. The sun lifts everyone's spirits, but it can wear travel trailer tires that have been stored outside. Even indoor travel trailer tires need a going over to make sure they are ready for the road. The most important things to look for are smooth edges, bulging or fabric breaks. If you find any of these, it's time for new travel trailer tires.

Safety is key when driving an RV. Due to their larger size, a spin off the road from a flat tire could be hazardous to not only you, but other drivers on the road. At each fill up, check for screws, glass or other sharp objects on the ground. If you hear a hissing sound coming from the travel trailer tires, you most likely have a slow leak. Most garages can patch your travel trailer tire without having to replace it.

Most people don't think of travel trailer tires having an expiration date, but the general rule is after six years they should be replaced. Internal damage can occur, causing greater incidence of flat tires. Check the stamped on date on every tire to find out when your travel trailer tires should be replaced.

Travel trailer tires can get worn out whether they are on the road every day or not. In fact, tires that are used less tend to wear more. Tires were designed for usage, so long periods of storage can cause cracking from dryness. If you aren't confident checking your own tires, take them to your local garage and have a professional look them over.

Tire inflation levels on a travel trailer tire really make a difference regarding wearing and alignment (and more). Use an air pressure gage (it's simple, but it's effective). Take a reading once a month (more often couldn' hurt). Or plan on taking a reading before each trip. If you're on a cross country trip that's going to take a while and easy rule of thumb is to take a reading after crossing each state line. Your owner's manual lists the inflation levels that are safest for your vehicle.

If a tire pops while driving, try to regain control of the vehicle by a quick tap on the accelerator. Once the vehicle has steadied out, pull over to the side of the road and look for a safe place to notify help.

Different travel trailer tires are built differently and you will get what you pay for with tires. You don't have to spend a mint on new travel trailer tires, but be sure you have tires that will that suit your needs. If you live in a sunny climate, you may not need all season or winter tires. But be sure to check your tires on a regular basis, for your safety and the safety of those around you.

Blues breaks and spring breaks are upon us and what better way to take a vacation than in a travel trailer? Vacations have been the topic of many psychological studies that prove healing benefits on the body, mind and relationships. Humans need breaks from work to remain productive and improve imagination. So head out in the travel trailer for a break from ordinary life.

Colorado has winter sports for every family. No matter how extreme you want to be, there's something for everyone. If you'd rather sit back and be pampered, Colorado offers spas, natural hot springs and more. Want to see it all in one trip? The travel trailer is one of the best ways to experience Colorado.

The landscape varies from hills to mountains, cities to towns. Food and drink are made locally, with some of the best beers in the country and cuisine to match. If you're on the hunt for the perfect snow conditions, then the travel trailer is the ideal way to jump from resort to resort to check out the best of Colorado.

Aspen is known for catering to the rich and famous, but they also host the X-Games, have great food and an eclectic mix of people. Vail and Breckenridge sit right on the I-70 corridor and boast convenient skiing, incredible dining and enormous peaks. Steamboat Springs, CO breeds Olympians; it's in the frozen water. Mt. Werner's terrain is perfect for beginners and experts alike.

Tired of seeing cloudy skies, head to California. Sunshine is on the menu every day. The landscape is dramatic in different ways from Colorado with hillsides covered in flowers, redwoods reaching up to the sky and an ocean that brings a salty sweetness to the senses.

From north to south, you can ski and surf in a single day. Yosemite National Park is open for skiing with minimal amenities and minimal crowds. Heading down the coast just outside of Santa Barbara, Carpinteria epitomizes relaxation with great restaurants, beaches and trails where dogs and children can run. At the southern end of California, theme parks entertain kids and adults alike. Bars, every type of food and enough eye candy for a lifetime await.

If the ocean calls, be sure to stop at Big Sur for a surf lesson and hours of floating on waves. Joshua Tree offers some of the best warm weather winter climbing available.

Travel trailers are your means for finding the perfect winter break for you and the family. Hitch yours up and decide whether you want to head out to California or Colorado for the experience of a lifetime. From extreme sports, to extreme relaxation, there's something for everyone.

It's no joke that there are RVs for everyone. It doesn't matter if you have as much money as Donald Trump, or use your RV as a spare bedroom that happens to have views of mountains, rivers, or grandma's front lawn. From $4,000 to over a million, there's a style for every person that loves to get out and see what the world has to offer.

The insides of Class A RVs are a lot plusher than college dorms, and a lot larger. They span 30-40 feet with copper pounded sinks, custom cabinetry, queen and king sized beds, tile floors and luxurious showers. It's no wonder celebrities travel in Class A RVs. With a price tag that can fly up over a million dollars, Class A RVs are for the elite traveler.

For the more economically minded family, Class B RVs might be a better solution. More compact, these spaces utilize efficiency within their 17-19 foot length. Basic amenities are covered with a self contained toilet, a place to prepare home cooked meals and a warm beds to sleep in. Best suited for families or groups of four, there's no reason not to take an extra vacation this year just to see what's out there. Class B RVs start at just $40,000.

Class C doesn't mean there's any compromise in quality or travel style. In fact, Class C RVs can accommodate ten people without flinching. There's an extra bed above the cab of the van, sofas and sleeping space in the rear. All basic amenities are included in these RVs from fresh water, to electricity and propane. If you've been itching for a reunion of any sort, this is a great RV for it.

Towable RVs tend to be more popular with those who are outdoor minded, or those who want both a car and an RV. They attach to a truck hitch, so can be left behind at the campground for backcountry explorations. Six people fit in for $15,000 and up.

Travel trailers are a great solution for organizations, clubs or family outings that require a bit of space. They can be found on the lower end of the pricing spectrum, starting at $10,000. Fill the space with golf clubs, tennis request, fly fishing poles or games for the family to play. Then sit back and watch the miles drift away.

For the minimalist of the group, consider the folding camping trailer or pop-up trailer. It's kind of like a tent on wheels, only more durable, with space for up to six. Bring the party with you for the next great adventure. Imagine booking thirty, forty vacations for six people and having a price tag of only $4,000. It can happen.

There are RVs for everyone. Pick your style, add some amenities and start creating magic when you roll out of the dealership and onto the road.

The classified sections of the Sunday paper are filled with ads that say 'Used RV for Sale by Owner.' But what does that really mean? It means you are taking a risk by investing in an individual instead of looking for a consignment RV company.

The classified sections of the Sunday paper are filled with ads that say \'Used RV for Sale by Owner.\' But what does that really mean? It means you are taking a risk by investing in an individual instead of looking for a consignment RV company.

Consignment RV companies take the fear out of buying a used RV for sale by owner. Individual owners may not always be upfront about problems with their vehicles because it\'s in their best interest to sell to you. Consignment RV companies know they will be held accountable through lemon laws and other warranties they offer if something goes wrong, so it\'s in their best interest to be upfront about potential repairs or problems.

What consignment companies are looking for a people who come back time and again when they\'re in the market for an upgrade or a new RV. They treat their customers as a longtime investment. Individuals who list used RVs for sale by owner are only worried about collecting their money and moving on.

No dealer can beat that price, you think to yourself as you see an ad. That\'s a myth. Talk to a consignment dealer and they will help you find what you want in your price range. Not only that, they also offer warranties and have a service department standing by to help you if you need it. They take the time to inspect their vehicles so you don\'t have to worry about it.

Test driving a used vehicle and having it inspected are important parts of the process. At a consignment dealer, you can do both without leaving the lot. While you may also want your personal mechanic to look the vehicle over, the convenience of having everything in one place and being able to set times that fit your schedule and not the sellers are a plus.

Used RVs for sale by owners offer only one option, whereas consignment RV companies can help you find the exact specs and amenities you want without having to settle. The dealer wants to see your face again, so they will do their best to find a match that will keep you happy. Most RV owners purchase more than one RV in their lifetime.

Consignment RV companies have people on hand to set up test drives and have service departments that can go over the vehicle with you. Used RVs for sale by owners don\'t. Don\'t hesitate to ask about that rust spot and what can be done for it, or if the tires are up to date.

When you\'re flipping through the paper and see an ad for a used RV for sale by owner, think about the headaches you can avoid by heading to your nearest consignment dealer. For the best in selection, experience and service, there\'s only one choice.
