You and your used travel trailer can take part in the green movement.

This means that by focusing on being green and doing sustainable camping in your used travel trailer, you can be a caretaker for your children and their children. When you are traveling in your used travel trailer, look for the following in a sustainable campground.

When you take your used travel trailer on a camping trip, make sure that you leave your camping spot in better condition than how you found it. You and your used travel trailer should support the natural environment.

1. Look for a spot that has greenery near the used travel trailer hookup to provide privacy and seclusion.

2. See if there are boardwalks made with wood. They should be above ground to help avoiding the ground and damaging it.

3. Water, either from waste or shower in your used travel trailer, should have the ability to be used to nourish greenery.

4. Ask if the campground buildings are prefabricated. Also, ask if the is a lot of heavy equipment around. You do not want this.

Ask about energy conservation efforts and resources, too.

To be a good leader in the green RV trend, make sure that your used motorhome has energy efficient lighting and appliances. Ask the prospective campgrounds if they have energy efficient lighting, too.

1. Ask about labor saving devices that will help you and your used RV save and conserve energy when camping.

2. Check to see if the RV site has solar paneling. Do you use solar panels on your own new or used recreational vehicle?

3. You may want to ask the RV park to see if they do anything extra regarding water conservation efforts. An example of this is a water saving showerhead in the public showers.

4. Does the RV campground provide pure water to its guests?

5. Does the RV campground recycle and/or provide recycling bins? Some campgrounds also will offer a compost pile for you to utilize.

Ask the RV park how they support cultural and preservation efforts locally

Most recreational vehicle camping grounds will visibly reflect their sustainability efforts. The green efforts to respect the land will be evident. It is these campgrounds that you should strive to stay at.

1. Ask the camp management if they support their area economy, which could include artists.

2. Is there an area farmer?s market where you can stock your RV with fresh, local fruits and vegetables?

Take time to learn more about living green in your RV. You will find that it is easy to incorporate sustainable practices in your RV. Join in the efforts to make the world a better place.
