Did you know that you can venture out west in your fifth wheel camper and explore the Frontier Days of Wyoming. This heritage festival occurs every July in Cheyenne. It is perfect for a fifth wheel camper journey. The festival is a week long celebration consisting of an outdoor rodeo, parades, and a plethora of activities. There is top quality entertainment, too. Camp out with your fifth wheel camper and have the time of your life during Frontier Days. Gentle reminder: reserve ahead of time.

Frontier Days and your fifth wheel camper trip

This fun filled week will be the ideal trip for you and your family to take in your fifth wheel camper. All ages are welcome to the festival and will enjoy themselves. Frontier Days offers country musical acts, parades, and free pancake breakfasts. Rodeo fans will find activities such as riding, wild horse races, roping, and steer wrestling. You can even enjoy barrel racing. Your trip to Wyoming in a fifth wheel camper can be all that you imagine.

History buffs are right at home

Throughout the week of events, you will find live historical demonstrations. You may see Buffalo Bill Cody or even Wyatt Earp. There are artists, craft makers, as well as an Indian village with drums and ceremonies for you to watch. Frontier Days is an authentic way to visit the west with your fifth wheel camper. Try the foods from the wagon crews cook off or visit the art exhibits at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum. No matter your tastes, there is something for you.

The fun doesn't stop there!

The USAF Thunderbirds will soar above your heads, as they are a recurring piece of the fair. Since 1953, the Thundebirds have flown in the sky, bringing excitement to the air and crowd. If this is something you want to see when traveling in your RV, make sure you check the dates and times.

You also have the opportunity to go backstage at the rodeo and see what really happens. The Behind the Chutes Tour offers a 40 minute secret, behind the scenes look and are free.

Save money by traveling by recreational vehicle

Since your RV or travel trailer has a kitchen, you can save lots of money by cooking and eating on board. You will save those extra dollars on festival foods. Be aware, though, of the cooking differences that occur when at a higher altitude. You will have to boil water longer, for example, because Cheyenne is 7,000 feet above sea level.
