Having an RV can make travel much easier and more enjoyable. With an RV, that feeling of being "stuck" just isn't quite as pronounced. You can go to the washroom when you feel like, and it's your washroom. Or you can take a nap or eat whenever you like. For those of us that have been trapped for hours on end inside of an airplane or airport, this sounds like a pretty magical way to travel. Why you can even get out of your RV and take a walk if you feel like it! Of course, all of this fun and convenience can be further maximized with a little well thought out planning. Thinking about what you need ahead of time is a really smart way to make the most of your trip.

Getting the most out of your RV does take a little planning, but in the end it is well worth it. Here are a few ways that you can get the most out of your RV and, in the process, increase the fun that you have on your next trip.

Being able to pop a movie into a DVD or Blu-Ray player is a pretty fantastic feeling. That alone is enough to cut through some of the boredom of travel. Then, of course, there is the fact that satellite television and video games are possibilities as well. There is no way around it, many children and teens traveling in today's RVs have no idea how much things have changed.

Having an RV means that you can always have plenty of snacks and real meals ready and waiting. It would be a shame not to take advantage of the fact that you can cook and haul lots of food in an RV. The simple fact that you can prepare a hot meal or beverage is definitely a major point in the RV's favor. Just imagine the difference in the quality of food between what you will have in an RV as compared to an airplane. There is no reason that anyone should go hungry and get cranky while on an RV!

Here again the RV is a winner. The idea of being able to sleep on a memory foam RV mattress or a pillow you brought from home just adds to the luxury. There is no doubt about it, traveling in today's RV is a radically different experience than it was just twenty years ago.
