How do Used Motorhomes Compare to New Ones?
RVs are a way of life for millions of Americans. Traveling by motorhome is a great way to see the country at your own pace. You can carry more than extra clothes, toys and entertainment for kids. You are also creating experiences that won't soon be forgotten.
Used motorhomes do come with warranties that last as long as those for new motorhomes. While warranties may differ depending on the age and wear of the vehicle, RV dealers will offer coverage that can make you confident about the quality of used motorhome you're purchasing.
Used motorhomes come in all shapes and sizes. There are luxury vehicles with a fraction of the price tag of new motorhomes. If all you want is a motorhome that will safely and economically carry your family from one vacation to the next, there are models that have ample space for families of four to ten people and aren't going to break the bank. New motorhomes are new and therefore, people have a sense that they will be more reliable. However, used motorhomes are often used for retirement vacations and are in incredibly good shape.
When shopping for a new motorhome, you head to a dealer. With used motorhomes, there are a couple of options. You can check the classifieds and hope you find what you want or you can contact a consignment RV dealer, whose job is to find you what you want for the price you want.
Bonding happens with family and friends on RV trips whether you decide on a new or used vehicle. It's who you're with and the places you visit that most often make the memories. Whether your vehicle was purchased new or used won't change the times you all have together.
New and used motorhome loans are available for extended periods of time. If you're worried you won't be able to get the loan you need on a used vehicle, head to your local consignment RV dealer to find out what they can do for you. You'll be surprised.
New motorhomes aren't cheap. Even the lower end motorhomes can cost upwards of $40,000.00. Used motorhomes on the other hand are sold for all sorts of reasons, which means you could get a steal on something that you wouldn't be able to with a new RV.
New and used motorhomes both offer shelter, both travel across the country and are both incredible ways of bringing kids to the outdoors, exploring places you've always wanted to see and being a part of a lifestyle that has shaped American history.
